    Asharqia Chamber welcomed a high-level business delegation 
     
     
     
          Asharqia Chamber Secretary-GeneralAbdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel confirmed that the Kingdom attaches the utmost importance to education as proven by plans and strategies that the Kingdom adopts for the development of education.
     
    During the reception of theExecutive Director of TVET UK Mr.Matthew Anderson who headed a high-level business delegation specializing in vocational education & training on Monday October 15, 2012, Al-Wabel saidthat the kingdom recently unveiled an ambitious program for the development of higher education, under which several educational projects will be launched invarious regions of the Kingdom. The first stage of higher education projectshasalready started at a cost of 81.5 billion Riyals. The Kingdom also allocated more than 169 billion Riyals in its current budget for the year of 2012 for the development of education and manpower and building more than 700 new schools.
     
    Al-Wabel said thatAsharqia Chamber organized the meetingto gather businessmen from both sides to establish partnerships that servevocational education & training in the Kingdom and tobenefitfromthe Britishexpertise.
     
    On the other hand, Mr.Anderson said that vocational schools and British colleges are willing to provide qualitative training programs for the Kingdomthrough domestic partnerships. He added that Britain has high standards in this field and can provide high quality services to its customers including technical and vocational education and training, software, e-learning solutions, Quality Improvement Systems, and designing of curriculum.
